Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society is one of the oldest and premier education institutions in the state of Karnataka. The Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society since its inception in the year 1958 has been managed by the eminent educationists, distinguished personalities with life commitment for education who laid solid foundation. Today Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society being exclusively pledged to transform education runs 49 institutions offering a various courses and providing education to more than 30,000 students every year from nursery to post graduation, engineering, Medical and Diploma etc. The society is managed by a team of philanthropists with high social standing and professional eminence. Today the role of our college is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers and productive members of an ever changing global society.
As our college established in the year 1969 in Shorapur, in the beginning it was affiliated to Karnataka University Dharawad, but now it is under the Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi and accredited in two times in the year 2005 and 2015 as one among the handful of colleges to do so with “B” grade. Now the college is volunteering for the third cycle in the year 2020. Its land mark document that faithfully confirms to NAAC’s guidelines reveals, in turn, its ongoing performance. It is one of the leading colleges in this locality having to become “Nucleus institutions of higher education in the region” as per its vision. Our college students of different courses have got gold medals with first rank. In addition to this 18 students have got other ranks. We are proud of our self to say that one of the college students became an IAS officer and a good number of students have become KAS, University Professors, PSI, PDO, Teachers, FDA, and SDA etc.
As our College is primarily a regional institution with international perspectives holding secular and democratic values affirms our faith in the universal brotherhood of mankind and the fatherhood of one God. The aim of the college is to develop the best that is latest in students and to prepare them for the challenges of the changing world throng with the encouragement of self discipline, high intellectual achievements and physical fitness. The motto of the college is “to make students responsible citizen of the country with high ethical standards”. The students are educated in a way that permits them to realise the importance of non-hypocritical knowledge

As we embark into the celebration of Golden Jubilee in the year 2019, our commitment is to provide safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empowers students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers and inspired learners prepared to thrive in the 21st century. The college has distinguished reputation in the field of NCC, Sports, NSS and cultural activities too. Our students have been winning district level, regional level, state level and national level in the fields of sports and cultural activities.
This college is centrally located in the heart of the city and situated in a campus of 19 acres. I enjoy celebrating success and acknowledge hard work of the faculty, staff and students. The faculty members are always eager to update their knowledge and attend seminars, workshops and conferences.
